- Front office receptionist responsibilities include; handling incoming calls and greeting visitors and guests
- Provide HR process support which may include; scheduling appts, providing the Administrative Assistant with documents for HR Files and providing process-related guidance and information to employees
- Assist HR in all aspects of hiring process which will include job postings, correspondence with applicants, scheduling, etc.
- Work directly under the Employee Relations Coordinator to manage the County’s Applicant Software – NeoGov
- Manage resource scheduling utilizing Microsoft Outlook calendars (e.g. conference rooms, hardware)
- Track office supply inventory and work with the Administrative Assistant to order office supplies, as needed, using a cost-effective approach
- Organize and maintain appearances for the supply closets and front office area.
- Provides coverage for the office between 8 am and 5 pm (excluding the lunch hour 11 am to 12 pm).
- Acts as a backup for the HR Generalist I as necessary.

Provides general front desk coverage including greeting guests, answering and directing incoming calls, maintaining supplies and reception area appearance. Directs County foot traffic for anyone who stops by. This position also provides a variety of administrative duties in support of the Human Resources department including but not limited to applicant tracking software. This role is very diverse and requires the ability to multi-task, take independent initiative, properly organize and prioritize in order to meet deadlines while managing competing priorities. Must embrace a strong customer service mentality and function with a high degree of professionalism.
SKILL/ABILITY TO
Communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely. Coordinate with other staff, departments, and officials. Use basic administrative problem-solving techniques. Use computers in a local area network environment. Ten-key and data entry skills required. Must be able to read and understand the Midland County personnel policies. Ability to maintain records, use word processing programs and spreadsheet functions, read and understand instructions, analyze and interpret data, spell and use correct grammar, prioritize and schedule work to meet deadlines, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, work independently in the absence of specific instructions.
KNOWLEDGE OF/ SKILL AND ABILITY
Principles, methods, and practices of basic office skills. Knowledge of County and departmental organizational structure, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations preferred.About the company
