Responsibilities The Ascension Talent Rotation Program is designed for recent college graduates or early career professionals, accelerating participants’ exposure and knowledge of our business, culture, and HR function. The program offers an immersive and applied learning experience designed to accelerate the development of a Human Resource Business Partner rapidly. This 12-month program will offer development experiences to build capabilities, skill-set growth, and business acumen expansion as an HRBP professional. This position will start in July 2024. This is a partially remote position offered in three locations across the US: Jacksonville, FL, Austin, TX, and Milwaukee, WI. The ability to travel within an assigned market is required. Upon completion of the rotation program, participants will be considered for employment. Participants must meet all assigned rotational program obligations and maintain a satisfactory performance rating to be considered for non-rotational employment opportunities at the end of the program. What we’re looking for We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong career interest as a Human Resource Business Partner to work in a rotation on projects/assignments within various Human Resources teams. Work projects involve assignments that are relevant to Ascension’s current business needs and priorities. Core Responsibilities Participants will grow their Human Resources expertise and leadership skills while developing in the rotational program Participants will develop competencies across multiple Human Resource segments through challenging assignments, exposure to senior HR & business leaders, networking, structured HR learning programs, and an assigned HR mentor with each rotation Participants will learn through the completion of work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in the subject area to meet deadlines; following procedures and policies, applying data and resources to support projects or initiatives; communicating progress and information; identifying and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities when possible; and escalating issues or risks as appropriate Participants will develop relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and customers; listening, responding to, and seeking performance feedback; collaborating with others, often cross-functionally, to solve business problems; acknowledging strengths and opportunities; assessing and responding to the needs of others; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback Participants will contribute to the completion of projects and department objectives as specified by the rotation manager Requirements Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Additional Preferences Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Work Experience: Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Knowledge of and proficiency in general software systems and project management tools (ie. GSuite, Smartsheet) Key Attributes: Ideal candidates for this program should demonstrate the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, strong analytical and critical thinking skills and can track and interpret data, strong verbal and written skills; including presentations and facilitations, adapt quickly to change, demonstrate high learning agility, display strong ethics and trust, exhibit strong relationship-building skills, possess solid project management skills, proven time management skills: the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively. Must have a strong motivation and desire to grow while fulfilling the assigned rotational program commitments and maintain a solid performance rating or greater to maintain eligibility to be considered for a non-rotational placement at the program conclusion.
