- Handling payroll queries through our ticketing system in a timely and efficient manner
- Liaising with our third-party payroll provider to resolve payroll-related queries

- Demonstrable payroll experience - Including end-to-end payroll processing, assisting with payroll cycles, or supporting payroll administration.
- Demonstrable HR experience - Involving employee records, contracts, onboarding/offboarding processes, or HR systems.
- Experience using payroll software - ESR, iTrent, Sage, ADP, etc.
- Experience using a ticketing system to manage queries
- Experience calculating or validating statutory payments e.g. SMP, SSP, SAP
- Experience working directly with a third-party payroll provider - Including submitting data, managing payroll outputs, or liaising for corrections.
- Experience in high-volume environments or to tight deadlines
- Understanding of pay-related legislation or NHS Terms & Conditions
- Using People Portal as a ticketing system
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English Grade C/4 or above

As well as excellent attention to detail, a high level of numeracy, and organisational skills, the ability to multi-task, with excellent time management. You must be able to effectively prioritise your work to ensure payroll deadlines are met and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional customer service skills are also required to support our internal managers, colleagues, and the wider HR team. Working within a small, friendly and supportive team, you will be making contractual changes and answering queries relating to a variety of areas such as pay, annual leave, pensions, and absence. Strong collaboration skills are required to work closely with colleagues and our third-party payroll provider. High accuracy and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
