OVERVIEW

Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos and Airheads!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic HR Training Intern - L&D to join our growing team. This Internship is for the Summer 2024 semester with the possibility of an extension.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The HR Training Internship will be a part of the Learning and Development team and provides a student with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a manufacturing environment. The selected Intern will gain professional experience by working on practical, innovative and important projects in support of the Perfetti Van Melle USA Operations team. The Intern assignment will include these work activities:

• Assist in identifying training needs for manufacturing workforce through job task analysis, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating training programs
• Assist in identifying continuous improvement opportunities in the training program
• Communicate with the manufacturing team to improve alignment and increase engagement
• Perform administrative tasks to support compliance training within a learning management system
• Assist with Oscar Camp, Perfetti’s new hire orientation program
• Perform administrative tasks to support Level Up – our career pathing program for manufacturing employees
• Other related duties as designated by Manager

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

•Qualified candidates must be pursuing a college degree, preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Communication or Education.
• Prior work or internship experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, effectively manage competing demands and work independently.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Proficient with various software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and adhere to all health & safety requirements.
