      1. Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related field.
      2. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in human resources professional level functions including experience with ERP systems (preferably PeopleSoft HCM, Oracle Fusion, or WorkDay ERP systems).
      3. Experience with governmental or similar public sector agencies highly preferred .
      4. Demonstrates experience in the support, configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting of PeopleSoft HCM modules preferred, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
      5. Possession and maintenance of a valid Florida driver's license throughout employment without restrictions that may affect job performance.

      SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

      Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) certification preferred.


      Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to apply advanced professional principles of human resources information systems within the Bureau of Human Resources. Employee in this classification assists with supporting the HRIM environment including PeopleSoft HCM, Time and Labor rules, Payroll Set Up Tables, Benefits, Self Service and Training modules serving all divisions and departments within BSO. Work involves providing technical expertise for HRIM activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources within the functions of employee compensation, selection and assessment, benefits, agency policies, labor provisions, and regulatory compliance.       Participates in supporting the PeopleSoft HCM module in areas of Time and Labor, Benefits, Payroll, Self Service and Training, while serving all divisions and departments within BSO as needed.

      Provide support with technology projects to include quality assurance, timelines, and proper use of HR information, reviewing and prioritizing system maintenance deadlines, creating enhancement requests for HR modules, ensuring security of HR information through established security protocols, modifications, and enhancements.

      Liaison with Classification and Compensation, Employee Benefits and Payroll on PeopleSoft business processes to conduct enhancements to payroll/personnel processes, and on-going review and re-engineering of processes automation.

      Liaison with Classification and Compensation, Employee Benefits and Payroll to integrate applicable business rules and pay practices to ensure compliance with provisions of collective bargaining agreements and the Sheriff’s Policy Manual (SPM).

      Writes specifications for business processes, subsystems, programs, reports, and interfaces, according to agency standards.

      Analyzes HR processes and makes recommendations for improvements via the use of technology. Assists with writing specification documents, reports and procedures for HR module users to ensure efficient business processes.

      Researches data integration issues into other HR applications.

      Assists users with extracting HR/Payroll records.

      Prepares and distributes reports, researches data entry issues and responds appropriately to resolve.

      Acts as an escalation point for end-users who are experiencing difficulties in using assigned HR systems.

      Tests and implements system configuration changes and reviews security to ensure appropriate levels of access.

      Partners with functional and technical clients to identify, develop and implement solutions that provide value and efficiencies.

      Provides on-going infrastructure support of PeopleSoft HCM environment.

      Provides support in executing new processes/functionality training and documentation of system use for users.

      Researches new techniques in the development of systems and maintains knowledge of current trends and strategies in technology fields relating to HRIM.

      Creates and generates various records and reports as applicable to agency needs; customizes and distributes records and reports per agency request; provides recommendation concerning data compiled as appropriate.

      Supports in the training of staff in the use of HCM modules and the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

      Functions as the liaison staff person between the Bureau of Finance, Budget and the Information Technology Division (ETD).

      Performs related duties as directed.

      Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Work is performed in usual office conditions with rare exposure to disagreeable environmental factors.
