      $19.00 - $21.86 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

      GENERAL PURPOSE:

      The purpose of this position is to support our efforts in translating policies, procedures, and related materials from English to Spanish. This role will directly contribute to enhancing the associate experience for our Spanish-speaking team members by making important company information accessible in their native language. In this position, the intern will have hands-on experience in professional translation work, exposure to HR and business operations, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the associate experience.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
      • Translate company policies, procedures, handbooks, and other internal documents from English to Spanish
      • Work closely with our Education Department to translate training materials and video content
      • Ensure translations maintain the original meaning while being culturally appropriate
      • Review and proofread translated materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
      • Collaborate with HR and other departments to understand context and intent of materials
      • Assist in creating a system for maintaining updated translations as policies change
      • Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
      • Communicates openly, effectively and frequently with the leadership of the team
      • Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and listening
      • Assists as needed to ensure the success of the company as a whole

      MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Performs other job-related duties as assigned .

      NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:

      • Consistent and daily interaction with Support Office associates

      Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:

      A high school diploma or GED is required; a two-year degree is preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

      • Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)
      • Strong writing and editing skills in both languages
      • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
      • Basic understanding of HR or business terminology a plus
      • Familiarity with translation software/AI a plus
      • Strong cross-cultural communication abilities
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency and maintain focus
      • Ability to utilize computer systems and standard office equipment
      • Ability to interpret policies and procedures
      • Proficient organization and planning skills
      • Commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive company information
      • Adaptability and willingness to learn
      • Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with diverse groups of people
      • Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success
      • Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission and commitment to working collaboratively

      Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. Also requires sitting for long periods of time, walking, and bending.
