      Job Title: HVAC / Electrical Apprenticeship

      Job Pay Range: $17.00/per hour

      Job Summary:

      As a member of the Engineering Team, this role performs preventive maintenance of guest room heating and cooling units and related equipment while following our 5-star 5-diamonnd customer service and hospitality guidelines and expectations. Assists the supervisor in the repair, replacement, operation, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration (HVAC/R), and associated equipment.

      What you will be doing:

      • Inspect HVAC units for proper operation and report abnormal conditions to supervisor.
      • Clean units, lubricate motors as needed, and check and replace air filters.
      • Perform preventative maintenance and ensure the cleanliness of equipment and workspaces.
      • Document accurately all work performed, and parts used.
      • Work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
      • Adhere to all hotel policies including safety and environmental regulations.
      • Learn to use effectively trade tools, instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
      • Understand and utilize the Building Automation System to analyze problems and make necessary adjustments.
      • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and the Building Automation System instructions.
      • Assist in the repair, replacement, installation, and operation of HVAC/R systems.
      • Help locate and analyze issues with HVAC/R equipment and controls, reporting findings to supervisor.
      • Assist with water treatment procedures for applicable HVAC/R systems.
      • Reset and replace electrical circuit breakers.
      • Wire switches and outlets.
      • Replace light bulbs.
      • Maintain and replace landscape lighting.
      • Assist with parts inventory.
      • Assist with maintenance of televisions and telephones.
      • Assist Convention Services with power requirements.
      • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
      • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

      What we are looking for:

      • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or completion of a vocational/ technical program; or one-three years’ experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration field; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
      • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
      • Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to assist with driving shuttles or transporting guests as needed.
        • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
      • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) with a work environment that is primarily indoors and outdoors at times.
