      Job Description

      Installs, maintains, repairs and replaces heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration systems and other related equipment. Provides guidance to HVAC Mechanic B and other personnel assigned to projects.

      Job Responsibility

      1. Installs, maintains, repairs and replaces heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment throughout the hospital.
      2. Recommends and/or prepares purchase requests.
      3. Assists Contractors in shutdown of services and utility systems, as needed.
      4. Provides guidance and instructions to HVAC Mechanic B and other personnel assigned to projects.
      5. Serves as a member of the Fire Response Team.
      6. Performs related duties, as required.

      Job Qualification

      • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
      • Minimum three (3) years of HVAC experience, required.
      • Ability to use tools of the trade and comprehend blueprints, required.
      • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
