Job Description

- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment
- Operate and perform Preventive Maintenance of HVAC systems and subsystems
- Maintain plant and equipment in sound operating condition
- Perform Refrigerant recovery and recycling
- Operate Building Energy Management System and associated building controls
- Interface with building managers and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction
- Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders
- Install and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required
- Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Must possess HVAC journeyman license or above
- Experience in a healthcare setting, prior experience in a hospital or health-care environment
- Strong knowledge of CAV and VAV systems, including design, function, and controls
- Experience with various control systems, including electronic and pneumatic
- Troubleshooting and repair skills–strong ability to diagnose and fix and fix malfunctions in complex HVAC systems
- Understanding of building schematics: Reading and interpreting schematics is necessary for working with HVAC systems
- Knowledge in work involving equipment installation
- Completed coursework in HVAC areas
- Must have working knowledge of 480V and below electrical systems, HVAC and plumbing systems
- Universal CFC Certification Required
- Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Building Operations
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Valid driver's license
About the Role
Position Overview:
We are seeking two (2) skilled and experienced HVAC Mechanic's to join our facilities team, specializing in hospital and laboratory environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of Constant Air Volume (CAV) and Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, ensuring critical spaces maintain required temperature, humidity, and pressurization levels for safety and compliance. Hours are M-F 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
