Overview
We are seeking an HVAC Mechanical Engineer for a hybrid assignment out of Boise, Idaho. The selected candidate will work on the client’s behalf to review designs, specs and drawings, providing feedback and comments.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
** This position will have an intial 2 week site visit to meet the team and client, after that candidates will need to travel to Boise once per quarter **
Responsibilities
- Establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facility infrastructure mechanical systems
- Design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust and process chemicals and gasses for extensive tools
- Design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection and specification
- Provide support during construction and integration into the factory
- Review design packages consisting of P&ID's, layout drawings, details and equipment plans followed by review of submittals, RFIs and construction documents
- Field walks while on-site
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years experience with HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing and related mechanical facilities systems
- 5+ years of design project delivery processes experience
- An Engineer-in-Training Certification (EIT) or a Professional Engineer License (PE) are highly preferred
- AutoCAD and Navisworks experience is a plus
