      Position Summary: As an entry-level HVAC/R Technician, you will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units. Under the guidance of senior technicians, you will learn the fundamentals of diagnosing issues, making minor repairs, and ensuring that all work complies with safety and industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in HVAC with growth potential through on-the-job training and continued education.

      Responsibilities:
      1. Assist in the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, thermostats, filters, wiring, and piping.
      2. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, such as cleaning filters, checking fluid levels, and inspecting components.
      3. Support in diagnosing issues and troubleshooting common HVAC problems.
      4. Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
      5. Replace or repair worn-out components like motors, filters, belts, and compressors.
      6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both on-site and in the company vehicle.
      7. Learn and follow all safety guidelines and regulations.
      8. Attend training sessions and complete certifications as required to advance skills.
      9. Other duties assigned by management


      Working Relationships: External: Service Vendors. Internal: FSS Field Service Technicians, Construction Project Managers, Store Personnel.

      Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED

      Preferred Education: Completion of a formal HVAC/R training program

      Minimum Experience: · 1-3 years of HVAC/R. Familiarity with basic HVAC diagnostic equipment and basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Knowledge of HVAC systems

      Preferred Experience: 3 + years of HVAC/R

      Licenses/Certifications: Universal EPA, State Journeyman preferred

      Soft Skills:

      • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
      • Handle Stress and pressure responding to emergency & urgent situations
      • Good verbal communication skills

      Other Requirements:

      Travel: Available to travel 50%. Must have a clean driving record.
      Hours & Conditions: M-F 8 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours minimum, On-call and overtime hours as needed
      Physical Requirements:

      • Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
      • Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp, grip, and work in cooler/Freezer (cold temperatures).
      • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
