- Repair malfunctioning HVAC systems.
- Inspect functioning systems for potential issues and conduct preventative maintenance.
- Install new HVAC systems in new build or renovation projects.
- Follow blueprints from other HVAC specialists or design your own systems.
- Test and troubleshoot installations post-completion.
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map out installations.
- Install components such as compressors, motors, piping, and ducts.
- Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components.
- Test individual components to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot systems and identify problems.
- Replace or repair defective parts.
- Perform emergency repairs while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used.
- Stay current with advances in HVAC technology and best practices.
- Perform duties of the Maintenance Repair Person classification.
- Valid license to perform work as an HVAC technician in the state of Nevada.
- Experience in HVAC, troubleshooting, maintenance technician, repair, mechanical, and electrical work.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and building specifications.
- Strong understanding of HVAC codes and safety standards.
- Capability to stay updated with advances in HVAC technology and best practices.

Job Description
As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within plant buildings. Your main duties will include performing preventative maintenance, installing ductwork, compressors, and other HVAC systems throughout the facility. This role demands a blend of practical skills and technical knowledge, and experience in a commercial environment is essential.

Work Environment
You will be working in an industrial environment within a union facility. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, based in Henderson, Nevada.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $87401.60 - $87401.60/yr.
