      Job Title: HVAC Technician

      Location: Kenosha, WI

      Job Description: We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician in the Kenosha area - the primary focus of this position is on preventive maintenance of heating, air conditioning, and control systems. The role frequently requires supervising tradesmen of other crafts and directing, monitoring, and approving the actions, performance, and products of contractors and vendors.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Develop, coordinate, and execute HVAC schedules for maintenance and repairs.
      • Organize, train, lead, schedule, and supervise HVAC crews, including house employees and contractors.
      • Evaluate and standardize heating and air conditioning products to achieve economy.
      • Submit purchase requests to ensure the availability of necessary materials, supplies, and equipment.
      • Coordinate with department heads to minimize disruptions during repairs and maintenance.
      • Manage special projects with external HVAC contractors.
      • Monitor and maintain stock inventory levels for HVAC supplies.
      • Maintain and submit reports on man-hours and materials used.
      • Monitor and adjust Central Environmental Control Systems.
      • Install, repair, and maintain digital and pneumatic control systems.
      • Service and repair mechanical refrigeration/air conditioning equipment.
      • Conduct tests to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
      • Ensure safe usage and inventory of HVAC tools and equipment.
      • Perform emergency repairs as needed.
      • Complete other related duties as assigned by the Manager of Building and Grounds Services.

      Qualifications:

      • Technical/Trade school graduation or equivalent apprenticeship required.
      • Minimum ten years of experience at the journey level, including 3-5 years at a supervisory level.
      • Knowledge of heating, refrigeration/air conditioning, boilers, and control systems.
      • Knowledge of tools, materials, methods, and hazards of the trade.
      • Knowledge of local and national fire underwriter’s codes and boiler codes.
      • Compliance with all required safety policies and procedures.
      • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and express ideas effectively.
      • Willingness to seek training to enhance or learn new skills.
      • Required licensing to work in HVAC and boiler repairs in Wisconsin.
      • Valid Wisconsin Driver License.
