      O'Hanlon Paving, a proud member of The Fath Group of Companies, has been a key player in the Edmonton, road construction industry for over 65 years. We are looking for an, experienced and safety conscious HydroVac Truck Operator (With Class 3, air-brakes) to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. You will also be working closely with the Materials Trucking Foreman. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.

      Responsibilities:

      • Operate HydroVac truck and all equipment in a safe and professional manner and ensure all components are in good working condition at all times
      • Perform pre and post trip inspections by following company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are in a clean state and operating properly
      • Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis
      • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
      • Other duties as assigned

      Qualifications:

      • Minimum 2 years of experience as a hydrovac truck operator is required.
      • Must possess a valid class 3 driver’s license (with airbrakes) or above with a clean drivers abstract.
      • Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment and municipal road building industry is an asset.
      • Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods under pressure including weekends and holidays, is required.
      • High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions are required.
      • Ability to work in varying weather conditions is required.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision is highly desirable.
      • Valid safety certifications is required.

      Additional Information:

      • This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every year.
      • This position is eligible for over-time.
      • Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
      • Training will be provided for various activities.
      • We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season).
      • Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
      • 6-7 days/week at peak season (Weekends as well)
