- Attend virtual and in-person classes and lectures.
- Perform research and analysis set out by leaders and present findings.
- Complete assigned projects within specified time periods.
- Shadow leaders in specific departments and fulfill tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, Rising College Senior with 3.0 GPA (Required)
- Interest in working in a non-clinical healthcare occupation after graduation (i.e., hospital/facility/clinic administration, finance, information technology, marketing/communications, security, human resources) (Preferred)
- Eager to learn and work with various departments in the health system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask

Overview
Riverside Health System's Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Academy for Leadership (IDEAL) is a 9-month leadership development internship program that seeks to develop diverse leaders. The program includes: Four months of leadership development coursework in a virtual and in-person setting, two months partnering with DEI and business leaders on assigned projects, and two months shadowing in an assigned department. Upon completion of the program, participants will undergo an evaluation and job placement review with potential for hire into a permanent role. The IDEAL program requires interns to participate in all coursework, show initiative in research and presentation of assigned projects, and be willing to help with tasks assigned by leaders during the shadowing rotation.
