      Work Location: This role is eligible for hybrid work – this means you’ll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office (in Regina), on a scheduled rotation.

      GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

      The Identity Analyst is responsible for the execution of centralized provisioning of user identities and accounts, protection and authentication of identities, and the authorization to access resources and/or perform certain actions. They are also responsible for the administration and integration of identity platforms with business applications to streamline the provisioning of access across SGI’s hybrid cloud environment. This role requires knowledge of identity management practices and modern authentication protocols, as well as a broad view of technology to recommend solutions that support business objectives. Participates in a standby rotation and/or callback incidents as assigned.

      KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

      • Provides input for the design of authentication solutions for IAM solutions and integrations.

      • Provides technical advice, guidance, training, and support to users, partners, and systems personnel relating to complex identity and access issues.

      • Defines and implements workflows that manage the provisioning of entitlements to end users .

      • Designs, develops, and implements vendor-provided or custom management integrations for managing identities in the hybrid cloud environment.

      • Manages certificates and other authentication mechanisms for use by development and infrastructure operations teams.

      • Investigates identity and access related alerts, events, and incidents.

      • Triages incident tickets that come into the Identity team and works the tickets to remediation.

      • Coordinates the review and certification of roles and entitlements to ensure access is appropriately assigned according to business needs.

      • Liaises with business and application role owners to ensure roles and entitlements reflect the ever-changing business hierarchy.

      • Controls the effective lifecycle management of roles and entitlements, ensuring catalogs are current and successfully decommissioning aged and inactive items.

      • Improves and/or automates existing identity and access processes.

      • Performs the system installation, maintenance, administration, and monitoring of the IAM tools.

      • Creates and maintains IT Operations runbooks for IAM-related alerts.

      • Reviews and maintains departmental documentation to reflect current processes and procedures.

      TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

      • Knowledge of identity and access management best practices, methodologies, and techniques.

      • Knowledge of identity and access management technologies.

      • Knowledge of information technology, including operating systems, subsystem components, software, and hardware.

      • Knowledge of modern authentication (e.g., OAuth, SAML, OpenID).

      • Knowledge of PKI and certificate management processes.

      • Knowledge of methods, procedures, policies, and guidelines for all systems departments, and how their functions/applications/technologies support the delivery of IT services to SGI.

      • Skill in analyzing business and technical requirements and relating them to appropriate identity and access management controls.

      • Skill in scripting (Python/PowerShell).

      EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

      • Four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study, such as Information Technology, Mathematics & Applied Science, or defined equivalency.

      EXPERIENCE

      • 1 – 2 years’ experience in Identity, Cyber Security, and/or Systems Administration.

      Pay Range:$65,328.00 - $82,452.00
