- Performs complex professional and advisory functions.
- Collaborates with technical support personnel and program administrators to support an extensive array of complex relational databases and end user applications.
- Plans, analyzes, designs, and implements complex enterprise-wide relational database structures.
- Analyzes and tunes database structures in consultation with other technical experts.
- Consults with users and staff regarding system/code modifications.
- Maintains departmental goals of integrated data architecture while striving to improve system performance and optimal use of computer systems.
- Provides database software consultation services to agency developers of large complex computer systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience in a related Information Technology field.
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience with DB2 and SQL Server relational database software.
- Three (3) years of professional experience with DB2 and SQL Server relational database software.
- Working knowledge of mainframe and midrange platforms.
- Developed oral and written communication skills to present technical information to others with clarity and precision.
- Requires ability to travel.
- Requires ability to serve on-call.
- Requires ability to work outside of normal business hours.
- Requires ability to keep abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field.
- Requires ability to pass a name-based background check.
