What You Will Be Doing
The successful candidate will manage a team of System and Software Test engineers responsible for the project management and financial oversight of laboratory and automated avionics system integration & test, and support of developmental flight test for F-16 and F-22 avionic systems. Responsible for personnel management, team performance, continuous process improvement, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
The candidate will perform technical tasks of the team approximately 30% of their time. The Test Operations team is responsible for the program management of test automation, avionics system integration test, and support of flight test for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) F-16 and F-22 aircraft. This assignment includes overseeing laboratory System Integration testing and Avionics Integration flight testing of Communication, Navigation and Identification (CNI), Data Link, Radar/Sensors, Stores/Weapons, Displays, and Mission Computer systems.
Tasks will include:
- Having oversight for estimating, test planning, development of laboratory and aircraft checkout test procedures
- Overseeing avionics system integration lab testing and analysis of test data/results
- Overseeing project leads that support avionics flight test locally and on-site at US Air Force Test Centers and customer locations
- Oversight ofsystem level verification testing
- CAM oversight and OBS responsibilitiesYou will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

aerosystemsleaders B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering (or STEM degree)
Experience with System testing and troubleshooting.
Experience with System Integration & Test processes.
Leadership experience Experience with Test Automation or AI/ML technologies
Excellent technical and communications skills (verbal & written) are required.
Scaled Agile process understanding and execution.
Desire/ability to work in a laboratory environment.
The role requires strong leadership skills as well as strong interpersonal skills for mentoring, guidance and managing a team of senior and principle System Test engineers.
Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite applications, MS Teams, Databases, technical graphics, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.
