- Receive patients, clinicians, staff and other visitors to the Hospital in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Answer telephones in accordance with departmental standards
- Proactively deal with potential situations of conflict to diffuse and prevent patient complaints.
- Arrange appointments for in-patient and outpatient examinations, liaising with referring clinicians, patients and other members of the Imaging team as appropriate.
- Co-ordinate requests for specialised examinations with the availability of Radiologists and other service providers such as Theatres, Anaesthetists, Admissions and Labs.
- Undertake all aspects of patient registration, charging and examination scheduling using the hospital PAS and RIS systems, ensuring that all data is correct and up to date in accordance with hospital/departmental protocols.
- Ensure all patient data is entered on to the hospital PAS and RIS systems accurately to ensure accurate patients medical records.
- To verify insurance cover or 3rd party clients, and guarantors status.
- Ensuring all clinics are maintained and updated, during shifts
- To file away all copies of registration forms in accordance with department policy, attaching any relevant letters of guarantee as well as following GDPR data protection.
- Be confident in cash handling, adhering to departments policies and Procedures
- To collect payment in accordance with Hospital policies & issue receipts as and when appropriate.
- Assisting Consultants for collection of consultation fees on the day.

Job summary
We are looking for an Imaging Administrator to join our Imaging Department team. The post holder will ensure patients, visitors and staff receive professional and polite assistance at all times.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have responsibility for providing a high quality administrative and clerical support service to the Imaging Department including booking appointments for all Imaging tests and Interventional Radiology procedures. The role requires advanced communication skill, both verbal and written.
