Job Description

- Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs exams in Radiography in accordance with age and other individual needs of a specific patient.
- Completes pertinent documentation on forms, patient charts and in computer systems.
- Transports patients.
- Answers telephones, assists in scheduling patients and gives reports to referring physicians.
- Maintains the integrity of the patient record by using worklist to identify patient studies, obtaining prior studies from the file area and printing reports.
- Processes Images and confirms storage to PACS.
- Cleans equipment and maintains supplies in rooms.
- Actively displays characteristics of the FHN PRIDE Standards and the Commitment to Respect, Dignity, and Compassion.
- Completes annual competencies.
- Maintains licensure by the State of Illinois department of nuclear safety. Maintains registration by the ARRT in Radiology.
- Abide by policies and procedures of department and institution.
- Practices using ALARA.
- Reports concerns to appropriate people.
- ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology
- IEMA licensure in Radiography
- BLS certification required
- Neonate:
- Infant:
- Early Childhood: 1 year and
- Late Childhood: 5 years and
- Adolescent: 13 to
- Young Adult: 17 to
- Middle Adult: 30 to
- Older Adult: >60 years
- Serves patients in areas other than patient care.
- No responsibility to treat or care for patients.

Job Summary
Primary hours of position will be 2:30pm-11pm, but hours may vary.
Perform Radiography examinations and related patient care duties while adhering to the guidelines of the ARRT professional code of conduct and the regulations of IEMA department of Nuclear safety.

Requirements
Education: Associate's degree (A.S. or A.A.S.) from two-year college program or diploma from a two-year hospital based program, with a specialty in radiologic technology; and six to twelve months related experience.
