Job Description

- Assist in preparing origination / marketing materials to pitch new transaction ideas to clients. You will be involved in the ECM coverage effort for a variety of clients across industries and countries. You will work closely together with other corporate finance / capital markets teams within the bank (debt capital markets, structured finance, investment banking coverage & industry teams, M&A, etc.)
- Analyse profiles of potential ECM issuers (stock performance, financing needs, profitability, equity & credit story, etc.)
- Follow market environment, in particular monitor new issues and relevant market trends for Equity and Equity-Linked Issues
- Liaise and collaborate with other ECM teams (Europe, US)
- As your skills develop, you can expect to increasingly take part to the execution of ECM transactions and interact with clients and other transaction stakeholders
- Excellent academic credentials
- Master’s degree (possibly in Financial, Business or Economic fields)
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Interest in equities, capital markets and corporate finance
- Ability to multi-task, organized, rigorous
- Ability to work within a team, in a fast moving, results-driven environment
- Ability to work independently and to take initiatives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of the MS Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word)
- Fluency in English is a must
- Foreign language skills helpful - Italian is a plus
Scope and Purpose
The Equity Capital Markets Team is responsible for the origination and execution of equity and equity-linked products. This includes IPOs, follow-ons, rights issues, convertible bonds. ECM teams in their region work closely with coverage teams to serve corporates, financial sponsors, private banking clients, and governments and collaborate with them in their equity and equity-linked transactions.
As part of the ECM team in London, some key aspects of your job will be to:
