- Clinical Expertise: Providing expert care, advice, and support to patients and their families throughout their immunotherapy journey. This includes managing treatment-related side effects, monitoring patient progress, and making independent management decisions.
- Education and Training: Acting as a resource for other healthcare professionals, providing education and training on immunotherapy and its management. This may involve developing educational materials and delivering training sessions.
- Service Development: Contributing to the development and improvement of the immunotherapy service, including implementing new protocols and pathways of care.
- Audit: Participating in audit activities to advance knowledge and improve patient outcomes in immunotherapy.
- Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other specialists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Advanced Practice: Utilizing advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex needs related to immunotherapy.
- Advocacy: Advocating for patients receiving immunotherapy, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard. Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse with relevant experience in oncology or a related field.
- Advanced practice qualifications, such as a degree in nursing with a specialization in oncology or a related area.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of immunotherapy treatments, side effects, and management strategies.
- Experience in developing and delivering educational programs.

- Non-medical prescribing qualifications (may be required).
