- On-the-job training for unique client situations
- Assisting with bathing, showering, dressing, shaving.
- Transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
- Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
- Light housekeeping which include: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry.
- Preparing meals and snacks
- Safely drive client to errands or medical appointments
- Medication reminders
- Dementia or Alzheimer care
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- A reliable, responsible attitude, compassionate approach and commitment
- Have or be able to obtain a Home Care Aide certificate, which includes a background check
- Valid driver's license or access to adequate transportation
Right at Home of Ventura County is looking for caregivers to work with our clients in Oxnard, Ventura, Camarillo, Port Hueneme, Somis, Oak View, Ojai, New Burypark, Santa Paula or Fillmore.
Salary: $17 - $19/hour
Shift Type: Full-Time, Part-Time
