Job Description
- Req#: 84558
- Solve, evaluate, and coordinate elevated cyber security incidents for the entire RWE company
- Collaborate with L1-L2 SOC in handling escalated tickets, major incidents, and crises throughout all Incident Response (IR) phases
- Stay abreast of the constantly evolving field of IT- and OT-Security, deriving impacts to the company, and ensuring the CSIRT remains current on recent topics
- Enhance the security incident response process to improve overall efficiency
- Engage with operational teams (e.g., SIEM and EDR) to enhance detection capabilities
- Develop playbooks, use cases, mitigation measures, and tactics to proactively defeat potential attackers
- Communicate effectively with all business areas on various levels during incident cases
- Collaborate closely with digital forensics, red-team, SOC, and operational IT/OT-Security teams to continuously improve Cyber Security
- Utilize cutting-edge enterprise tools for threat detection, response, and cyber forensics
- A degree in computer science or successful completion of a practical trainee program in similar subjects
- 3 years of experience in cyber security with advanced knowledge of APTs, networks, malware, and vulnerabilities
- 1 year of practical experience in incident response
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, Ticket Handling, EDR, and Threat Detection tools
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
- Relevant certifications, such as GX-IA, GCED, GCIH, CISSP
- Fluent in English and German
