- Responsible for:
- Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions
- Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel
- Controlling nonconforming products
- Supporting implementation of corrective/preventive and improvement actions
- Responsible for day-to-day housekeeping of the surrounding production floor area.
- Operator will:
- Run cells through the heat seal machine
- Leak test cell
- Bond the post to the cover bushing using a burning ring and a hand held torch.
- Skid cells into a tub or a skid (depending on where they are going).
- Connect the cells into a circuit so they can go to the next operation of forming.
- Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Experience with safety and environmental training
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervision, and management
JOB TITLE: IND COS Cell Assembler DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The IND COS Cell Assembler will ensure parts that are produced meet specifications and quality standards. The assembler will operate the heat seal and hand burn the buttons with a hand torch to complete the job and will work closely with supervisor to accomplish production demands.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
