      The Role: Independent Financial Planner

      Office Location: Huddersfield/ Edinburgh

      The majority of this role is homebased, meeting with clients on a monthly basis and working in the office on a weekly basis for office and team support.

      This role is an employed role based within our expanding Central Advice Department at Sandringham Financial Partners. We are one of the market leading independent national advice firms offering a fresh and innovative approach to financial advice. We are searching for candidates with a desire and passion to serve customers brilliantly as one of our in-house Independent Financial Planners.

      Your role is to work with clients of IFAs who retire through our Partner Retirement Program. You will be dealing with a wide range of clients, nationwide and work extensively in the wealth arena inclusive of Pensions, Investments, Mortgage and Protection, Later Life Products and Estate Planning.

      You will spend the initial phase of employment quickly and actively shadowing an existing CAD Financial Planner and learning the key aspects of the role, as well as the ‘Sandringham Way’.

      Once this has been completed, you will move into the next phase which will include a development plan, observed meetings and the relevant compliance checks until sign off to CAS is reached.

      This role is open to individuals who are currently operating as authorised advisers, and to those looking to take their first step into advice.

      Please note this is a certified role. Candidates are required have the Level 4 Diploma (CII) or equivalent

      Your duties within the team will be:

      • Learn all aspects of Sandringham’s financial planning process and advice proposition.
      • Develop and maintain a professional approach to contacting clients and client advice meetings.
      • Be the first point of contact for circa 200 client households. To maintain and develop their financial plans over time.
      • To maintain a high standard of proactive advice, meeting the firm's quality standards and the firm's risk appetite.
      • To contribute to a lively and talented team environment, supporting each other and growing the team capabilities and profile.

      To succeed, the candidate will have:

      • Working knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislative frameworks.
      • Working knowledge of life and pensions products, markets and platforms.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      • Able to be planned and organised with an ability to manage and prioritise your workload effectively.
      • Passionate about customer experience.
      • Ability to work with digital tools.
      • Ability to manage customer relationships and provide a financial planning advice and review service remotely.
      • CII Diploma in Regulated Finance Planning or equivalent.
      • Experience of regulated distribution environments.
      • Previous experience of working within a telephony & digital environment advantageous.
      • Previous experience in an advisory role advantageous.
