      The Role:

      In this role the candidate will help to identify trading opportunities in the Vegetable Oils markets place and maximize contribution to the Global PnL In addition is responsible for supporting ADM Global Trade with trading and controls to support global assets and to help increase the market participation.

      The Global Trading Desk for Vegetable Oils in Rolle Switzerland trades rape oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil, palm oil and corn oil, etc. Each oil has its own trading peculiarities and it’s important to develop a deep understanding of all vegetable oils.

      Main Responsibilities:

      Reporting to the Trading Manager, in Rolle, Switzerland; the main duties of this role will include:
      • Trading vegetable oils in bulk for ADM from Origins and into destinations, follow and trade cash markets, and paper market at origins (i.e. Argentina market), negotiating and obtaining the best value for ADM`s vegetable oils into these markets.
      • Maintain and improve our customer relationships in India and the region, explore potential partner opportunities / strategic opportunities;
      • Vessel freight fixing for crude vegetable oils;
      • Involve in Supply and Demand discussions, trade flows forecasts and estimate demand coverage, supporting in providing analysis of market data;
      • Utilizing experience in commodity markets, positioning, hedging/selling recommendations to customers.
      • Risk management, monitoring the risk positions of GT cash , futures, freight, etc. Developing and updating commercial controls of beans trading and contracts as well as helping to prepare and maintain position controls (Long/short), PnL forecasts and traded statistics;
      • Managing credit, legal issues and processing aspects of ADM’s vegetable oil business.
      • Communicating market developments and coordination to/with ADM teams both at local level and globally through analysis, support preparation of market reports;
      The candidate:

      The successful candidate will possess the following:
      • University degree in economics, business administration, agronomy or similar;
      • 6+ years commercial experience, preferably including trading and logistics in ag. commodities, preferential vegetable oil trading.
      • Excellent understanding of pricing mechanisms as well as the relationship between worldwide supply and demand, and the pricing of agricultural commodities, specifically vegetable oils.
      • Understanding of positions and risk management, high degree of numeracy,
      • Analytical, creative, objective team player, ability to collaborate in multi-cultural and cross-functional setting.
      • Fluent in English, Hindi would be a plus;
