Job Description
- Req#: 65452
- Responsible for purchasing of non-production (indirect) material.
- Ensure meeting the global purchasing process requirements.
- Develop local purchasing processes in harmony with global standards.
- Participate as an integral part in project teams to optimize internal processes and standards.
- Prepare, execute and monitor biddings, bid appraisals and supplier selection.
- Review and analyze procurement requirements and prepare, negotiate and close supplier contracts.
- Clarify and record requirements as regards amounts and technical specifications with ordering department/function.
- Identify potential for synergies between the different purchasing departments of the regional locations and coordination of bundling of purchasing volumes.
- Develop and conduct cost optimizing measures and activities.
- Monitor the suppliers‘ capability and capacity to deliver appropriately and revise supplier appraisals accordingly if required.
- Appraise potential suppliers and extend supplier portfolio with adequate new suppliers.
- Identify areas of supply chain improvement and/or cost reduction for assigned field of responsibility.
- Contact suppliers regarding material problems and support resolution process.
- Technical or commercial vocational training plus several years of professional experience as well as field-related training/qualification
- Min. 3 years of professional experience in multinational environment
- Familiar with contemporary project management methods
- Expert know-how in purchasing methodology as well as proven negotiation & communication skills
- Advanced SAP and MS-Office skills
- English language skills at working proficiency level
