What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop stimulus passages and dependent multiple-choice items for educational assessments
- Review and refine test items in collaboration with internal content editors and technical writers
- Participate in the field testing and scoring processes of developed items
- Support the item writing process for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)
- Ensure adherence to rigorous standards of quality and fairness in test development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related fields
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience at the introductory level with undergraduate students
- Experience in scientific writing
- Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
- Ability to meet specific residency requirements depending on project work
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in developing educational assessments or standardized test items
- Familiarity with the MCAT or similar high-stakes assessments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
