      Summary: Coordinate with the Lead Indoor Attendant and Ski and Snowboard School Instructors to support all Children’s Center-related tasks and activities by performing the following duties. Pay $21/hr. Dorm-Style Housing Available.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

      • Supports instruction and care for children including: dressing, undressing, ski related games, activities, entertaining children, interfacing with instructors, supervisors, children and parents.
      • Assists in leading indoor and outdoor activities for Snow Camp and non-skiing children
      • Assists Lead Indoor Attendant to ensure timely departure and return of classes.
      • Responsible for accurate sign in and out and accountability of each child in the program.
      • Provides indoor support for instructors.
      • Escorts child to designated activities.
      • Assists in meal and snack preparation duties in children's center area.
      • Assists in Rental Technician duties when needed.
      • Assists in Magic Carpet Attendant duties when needed.
      • Assists in Children’s Center Cook duties when needed.
      • Responsible for daily cleaning and organization of toys and equipment.

      Experience:

      • At least 1 year prior experience in a children’s center/day care environment
      • At least 1 year prior experience working with children aged 3-6 years old

      Language Skills:

      Ability to read and interpret documents such as short correspondence, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to speak effectively and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

      Reasoning Ability:

      Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

      Other Skills and Abilities:

      • Child Care experience required.
      • Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
      • Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher.
      • Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.

      While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and listen. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 lbs, ocassionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

      While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to outside winter weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

      The pay rate for this position is $22.00/hr.
