- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, Human Resources or Law and/or professional experience in a IR/ER or para-legal position in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations including well developed interviewing, analysis skills, application of legislation, and report writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a large and varied caseload of complex matters, and to provide accurate and strategic briefings, submissions, and advice within tight timeframes.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills relating to the assessment, review or investigation of complex concerns raised regarding employee conduct within the parameters of relevant legislation, policy and guidelines.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of employment law and all elements of procedural fairness in the context of workplace investigations
- Demonstrated superior communication skills, including negotiation, and influencing skills, coaching others and an ability to prepare detailed and accurate correspondence and briefing notes.
- High level negotiation and conflict resolution and problem solving skills. Superior time management and organisational skills.

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
Oversee all investigations occurring within the LHD to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policy requirements and relevant KPIs.
Provide high level advice and assistance to managers regarding NSW Health and WSLHD investigation processes, procedures, and practices.
