      Basic Qualifications

      Education: Requires comprehensive knowledge of electrical and associated electronic equipment, instruments, machinery, motors and transformers. Knowledge of the National Electric Code as it pertains to the facility and machineries within the plant External: Equivalent to four (4) years of high school education plus four (4) years of trades training.

      Job Description

      You will be the Industrial Electrician for our maintenance team, responsible for constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining complex production machinery and associated electronic equipment, including motors, generators, temperature control instruments, control panels, wiring conduits, motor starters, X-ray equipment, transformers, High Voltage Switchgear, Robotics, Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems, fire alarm systems, and Facility Lighting systems.

      What You Will Be Doing
      As the Industrial Electrician, you will perform a variety of duties to ensure seamless operations, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Photovoltaic Systems, Electroplating Equipment, Capacitor Banks, Battery Powered Internal Transportation Vehicles, conventional machinery, and heat treat equipment.
      Your responsibilities will include:
      • Constructing and maintaining control panels, including the installation of panel instrument meters and temperature controllers
      • Performing complex and routine diagnostics using wiring schematics, drawings, diagrams, and service manuals
      • Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling motors, generators, and rectifiers
      • Installing, repairing, and maintaining tools and equipment, including X-ray equipment, Robotics, and Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems
      • Using a variety of testing equipment, such as: multi-meters and oscilloscopes, ammeters and mega-ohmmeters, infrared cameras to detect thermal anomalies, power analyzers to measure electrical power quality, and laptops and data recorders to monitor and analyze electrical systems
      • Aiding and training junior team members, such as Industrial Electrician B, as required
      • Keeping your work area clean and orderly, and referring unusual problems to your lead or supervisor

      Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
