      Job Description:

      Industrial Engineering Intern

      This position is a 10-week internship program that will start June 3rd through August 9th.

      This will be a hybrid on-site opportunity located in one of the following cities: Dallas, TX, Ontario, CA, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH, or Monroe, NJ

      The wage range for this position is $20 to $25, dependent on skills and experience.

      The Internship of Industrial Engineering for the Industrial Engineering & Collaborative Innovation team will be tasked with completing several projects and will report to the Sr Director of Industrial Engineering. Duties and Responsibilities include:

      • Perform Time Studies to ensure engineering standards are being meant & accurate

      • Create new or update engineering standards for operational processes

      • Test plans for new automation, facility set up, 5S and Lean Six sigma projects within the facilities

      • Use MOST techniques to perform time studies on operational processes

      • Utilize Labor Pro Software to manage engineering standards

      • Create, review, implement test plans for new automation equipment.

      • Provide input on layouts

      • Use lean six sigma and 5s methods to create more efficient operations within facilities

      • Other tasks as assigned

      Qualifications

      • Junior or Senior working toward bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, or a related field

      • Proficient at AutoCad, MOST methodology

      • Six Sigma training or similar

      • Strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving skills.

      • Some knowledge in warehouse designs

      • Expert knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

      • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic, as well as excellent people and organizational skills.

      • Must be legally authorized to work in the US. Employer will not sponsor position for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H-1B)
