      Job Description Summary

      The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of the industrial equipment in factories, plants, and other manufacturing settings. Often, they work with a range of systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical. Welding and fabrication are a plus. They are also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

      We are seeking a reliable industrial maintenance mechanic to ensure the optimal functioning of all equipment and machines at our facility. The Industrial Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities include:

      Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

      • Follow all safety rules and practices.
      • Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, vibrations, and noise levels.
      • Performing emergency/break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations.
      • Accurately using measurement and test equipment.
      • Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed.
      • Installing wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, and machinery.
      • Replacing faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and AC/DC single 3 phase motors, and position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners, and photo electric devices.
      • Troubleshooting and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
      • Troubleshooting drivers, i.e., AC and DC.
      • Maintaining clean and organized work areas and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks.
      • Accurately and completely preparing and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork.
      • Troubleshooting and solving problems.
      • Maintaining teamwork with other associates.
      • Maintaining and installing all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
      • Locating problems through close observation of machinery and staff practices.
      • Performing careful inventory and stock checks and placing orders for required material and equipment.
      • Collecting and analyzing data for written reports.
      • Attending daily meetings and scheduling training workshops where required.
      • Controlling downtime by communicating with staff and implementing contingency measures.
      • Ensuring all procedures and processes adhere to health and safety regulations.
      • Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

      Targeted Pay Range:

      $29.52 - $37.69

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Identifying faulty equipment, making relevant adjustments to machinery, carrying out maintenance tasks in a conservative manner, communicating problems to staff, and maintain technical knowledge through refresher workshops.

      EXPERIENCE:

      • Basic mathematical skills are required.

      • Basic computer experience.

      EDUCATION:

      • Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

      CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

      • May require a current OSHA forklift certification.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT:

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
