- Create and execute a daily work plan, prioritizing tasks and organizing resources to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the blast bay and blast booth, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of sandblasting equipment, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
- Track and maintain an accurate piece count of all items sandblasted and monitor time spent on each project for effective project management.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Use a wet film thickness gauge for coating applications as required.
- Inspect and prepare surfaces, removing old paint, dirt, and debris, and repairing any imperfections.
- Mix and match paint colors, apply primers and coatings, and ensure even and smooth paint coverage.
- Maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends and participate in training sessions to enhance skills.
- 3+ years of painting experience.
- 3+ years of sandblasting experience.
- 1+ years of experience with cementitious waterproofing coatings.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, confined space, and industrial tanks.
- Proficiency in SSPC-Surface Preparation and NACE Abrasive techniques.
- Experience with plural spray systems and applications.
- Ability to identify and achieve SP-1,2,3,5,6,7,10,11,13,15 standards.
- Capability to blast 150 sq/ft to an SP-10 in one hour.
- Knowledge of checking nozzle circumference for wear.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing field equipment.
- Ability to coat 1000 sqft with minimal rework.
- Proficiency in setting up, tearing down, and cleaning paint application equipment.
- Understanding of airless spray tips and mixing coatings according to data sheets.
- Experience with applying products from Sauereisen and Tnemec.
- You will work a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
- The role involves work at multiple sites, including waste water treatment plants and reclamation facilities.
- You will operate in confined spaces and at heights, using tools such as wrenches, hammers, pliers and also requiring the use of a scissor lift.
- Safety equipment like safety glasses, gloves, and respirators will be provided, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

Must be open to travelling to multiple parts of the Valley in Buckeye, City of PHX, Tempe, Chandler, Peoria as that is where the projects are.
Job Description
As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for both sandblasting and painting duties, ensuring all surfaces are expertly prepared and coated according to project specifications. Your role will involve maintaining a safe and clean work environment, working with various equipment, and collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality results.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
