      Industrial Painter - pay starting up to $30/hour

      Job Description

      Join our dynamic paint department, which comprises three levels of expertise. We are currently seeking candidates for each level:

      - **Level 1 ($24/hr)**: Entry-level position for candidates with approximately 1 year of experience in manufacturing or auto body painting. Basic knowledge of painting required.

      - **Level 2 ($27/hr)**: Advanced level for those who have substantial experience and understanding of surface prep and painting processes.

      - **Level 3 ($30/hr)**: Master level for experts in bodywork, SOPs, spraying, and mixing.

      Candidates will paint and prep industrial trucks and parts. General duties include cleaning and inspecting parts, prepping products for final paint, mixing coatings, spraying primers/sealers, applying color and clear coatings, correcting errors, maintaining spray equipment, ensuring proper handling of hazardous waste, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

      The opportunity to move up within the department to higher pay levels, including a top rate of $33/hr, is available based on performance and experience.

      Skills

      • Cleaning and inspecting parts prior to painting
      • Prepping product for final paint
      • Mixing coatings with reducer and catalyst at correct mixtures
      • Spraying primers/sealers with an air paint system
      • Applying color and clear coatings with spray equipment
      • Correcting errors in applications
      • Maintaining spray equipment (not including repair)
      • Maintaining paint booth cleanliness and filter changes
      • Handling hazardous waste properly
      • Understanding spill response procedures and evacuation plans
      • Attention to detail
      • Ability to work in a team
      • Organizational skills
      • Ability to learn and adapt
      • Strong communication skills

      Work Environment

      This is a manufacturing environment with approximately 160 hourly employees on the floor. The facility has undergone multiple expansions. Team sizes can vary from 6-15 people. Physical demands include frequent bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance, working with arms above head, working from ladders or scaffolding, and operating safety equipment. The environment is non-temperature-controlled and can exceed 95 degrees. Current working hours are 6 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
