      Intro:

      This position has a range of $26.37 - $37.60/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job.

      We have an open position for first shift, 6am to 6pm

      POSITION SUMMARY:

      This position is responsible to monitor, control, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all building components, refrigeration equipment, steam generating equipment, compressed air systems, water supply and distribution systems, return condensate systems, mechanically, electrically, hydraulically and pneumatically using the proper tools and test equipment.

      RESPONSIBILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE:

      • The frequency of the following activities may vary according to the requirements of the job task assigned.
      • Assist in utilities maintenance as directed (HVAC, wastewater, etc.)
      • Complete all necessary documentation of activities (log entries, leak reports, etc.)
      • Install equipment on utility systems
      • Comply with all Tyson safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements
      • Complete all paperwork and SAP functions
      • Experience in Electro-Mechanical, or a related field of study (preferred)
      • Other duties as assigned

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

      • Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs .
      • Team Member will perform repetitive motions such as pinching and grasping
      • Team Member will reach high and low levels, frequently.
      • Team Member will stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 12 hrs.
      • Team Member will climb stairs several times per hour.
      • Team Member will work in a cold environment, 30 to 40 degrees, will all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and required gear.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Must have a minimum of (3) years of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. Can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is at least (3) years.
      • Must have PSM experience.
      • Must have a valid NJ Black Seal Boiler License High Pressure or higher.

      ATTN Prior Tyson Workers:

      Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment
