Job Description
- Req#: 624497
- Performs hearing and/or middle ear screenings to individuals under the supervision of the Audiologist.
- Provide counseling and recommendations to the individual and parents of babies who fail hearing screenings.
- Perform follow-up hearing screenings, as indicated.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of infant hearing screenings in medical record system.
- High school graduate or equivalent. A college degree in either speech-language pathology, audiology, or a related health field preferred but not required.
- Fluency in Spanish and/or ASL helpful but not necessary.
- Experience working with infants and/or geriatrics a plus.
- Must be certified in CPR or obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
GENERAL SUMMARY : The Infant Hearing Tech’s primary role is to perform hearing screenings on newborn through geriatric population.
