      We are currently seeking an Info Tech Analyst. The role will assist with business applications, computers, servers, networking, infrastructure, etc. as well as supporting various IT administrative activities, projects, and initiatives.

      We collaborate closely with the Network and Cybersecurity teams for projects and product implementations. Training will be provided for specific technologies, so prior experience is not as important as foundational knowledge and a willingness to learn. The ability to document and present technical processes to nontechnical audiences is an essential.

      • Accountable for performing a range of information technology tasks, applying technology solutions for the benefit of the overall organization; providing technical support, analysis, and training in the use of the organization’s technology solutions.
      • Provides support on projects.

      Nature and Scope

      • This position reports directly to IT Managers
      • Provide daily support to End users.
      • Demonstrate basic understanding of technical processes, environments, problems, and solutions as they relate to the facilities day to day operations.
      • Interfaces with ITS staff at both Solar & Caterpillar organizations and business partners.
      • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to handle basic issues independently.
      • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, managers, and end users.

      Principal Accountabilities

      • Responds to user inquiries concerning System Operations and troubleshoots Hardware, Software and Operator problems using ITSM systems to manage incidents and requests.
      • Provides analysis or support for various technologies.
      • Identify and communicate noticeable trends affecting IT technologies/solutions.
      • Support company-wide operations by creating, editing, and maintaining IT Knowledge. submitted through multiple platforms.
      • Interact with end-users to provide support or implement technical solutions.
      • Assist with preventative maintenance within specified guidelines and procedures.
      • Keep up to date IT inventory Hardware and Software assets.
      • Execute hardware retirement and scrap process for IT hardware.
      • Ensure IT devices meet Corporate Security Standards.
      • Manage software and OS patch remediation (Yellow and Red Security Alerts) following guidelines from Cybersecurity.
      • Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to end-users, new hires trainings.
      • Assist and interact with hardware, software, and services vendors.
      • Assisting the CAT GIS in implementing corporate network cabling and devices.
      • Proficient with technologies assigned to this role.
      • Works with close supervision.


      Required Qualifications

      • 1+ year of previous Information Technology experience
      • General knowledge in current technology and tools, infrastructure requirements, computing hardware and software
      • Knowledge of MS Office and MS operating systems .
      • Troubleshooting skills to identify issues and apply solution aligned with the corporate standards.
      • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to communicate effectively. Required patience and active listening.
      • Demonstrate ability to multitask

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field,
      • ITIL or any other IT Certification
      • Business background with experience across a wide range of IT technologies and services.
      • Good initiative and ability to communicate effectively
      • Basic knowledge of Solar Turbines Inc products and services
