Job Description

- Scheduling student shifts and helping find coverage when necessary.
- Managing payroll for students employees, such as by monitoring weekly hours worked, approving timesheets, and tracking work study grant amounts
- Distributing daily task lists to student staff that assign event responsibilities, including hanging signage and performing setup checks.
- Checking in with students on duty at the Info Desk and checking cleanliness of space.
- Reviewing and maintaining databases for Info Desk files like the Daily Student Shift Reports, Inventory Spreadsheet, and Shift Change Form.
- Providing semesterly training for students which includes team building exercises, customer service, and transitional skills.
- Collecting and reviewing feedback from student employees regarding daily shifts and overall work experience.
- Maintaining operational procedures as it relates to the overall function of the Diana Information Desk.
- Assisting Events Management with inputting qualitative event data into EMS.
- Assisting Events Management with event support when needed.
- Meeting with the Associate Director weekly to discuss operational tasks for the Info Desk and student event coverage.
- The GA will inform Events Management staff of personal availability, detailing class times and other essential responsibilities at least two weeks before beginning work each semester. After meeting with the Associate Director, the GA will negotiate a standard schedule for the semester of 20 hours per week. Office work, supervisory responsibilities, event support responsibilities, as well as personal needs, should be considered when determining hours. During special events, changes in schedule may be expected of the GA to accommodate supplementary event support.

Must be enrolled in a graduate program, in good academic and disciplinary standing. A strong preference given to those studying in Higher Education, student affairs or related areas.
Salary:
$22.00 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
