About this Position

The IS Engineering Analyst 1 would have 0-2 yrs. of on the job experience, or shown proficiency in Information Security concepts and technologies. The position is expected to receive training and instruction, but they would then begin to use that instruction to perform independent activities on engineering, implementations, and support activities for Primerica Security infrastructure products. This role will assist with the collection and analysis of industry vulnerability information, threat intelligence, and internal data sources to identify potential risks and threats to the Primerica compute environment. In this role the candidate will also work with various resources to create mitigation and remediation plans and ensure that these are executed.

Salary Range is: $68K - $82K

Responsibilities & Qualifications

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrate basic proficiency or an ability to rapidly learn technical implementation of Primerica Information Security Systems

• Ability to participate in the implementation of major system installs and upgrades, with senior engineers and management as project leads, with the goal of preparing to engineer and install systems independently in the future

• Learn the designs and architecture of multiple infrastructure solutions from management and technical leads

• Design and manage the implementations of security testing programs to provide assurances of our ability to withstand cyber attacks

• Assist in the deployment, maintenance and upgrade paths of the security infrastructure

• Support the development teams, infrastructure teams, and even direct business users in dealing with critical incidents in the supported environment

• Develop the ability to practically contribute in discussions on the improvement of security systems

• Develop and demonstrate ability to contribute to the ideas on improvement of security solutions

• Manage assigned security infrastructure problems from initiation to escalation to resolutions and lessons learned

• Create system and security infrastructure documentation

• Contribute to the overall quality of service delivered to internal users and clients.

• Provide operational metrics and reporting to management to demonstrate their ongoing awareness of their responsible system's coverage, operational effectiveness, patch levels and eligibility for vendor maintenance

• Learn, assist, and then maintain and test Business Continuity plans and systems

• Oversee, respond to and resolve tickets from the problem ticking system

• On-Call duties to resolve immediate critical issues

• Work with NOC and other users to resolve issues relating to day to day operations

• Review and analyze various opensource and vendor based data sources for potential threats to the Primerica environment.

• Work with senior team members and management to develop risk identification and remediate plans for identified threats

• *Escalate and track resolution for applicable risk to the environment

Required Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Technical skills including solutions and operations of products including the disciplines of : Endpoint, Proxy, Firewall, VPN or equivalent, scripting/Automation, Advanced Threat Detection systems, CASB, DLP solutions, Segmentation/0-trust designs, load-balancers, DDoS technologies, traffic decryption and advanced visibility solutions & WAF systems.

• Demonstrate basic proficiency Security Engineering skills; technologies listed in Areas of Study section

Preferred Education, Experience, Certifications or Licenses, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proven ability to collaboratively pursue issue resolution and push for long term and permanent solutions to on-going problems

• Understanding of fundamental computer architecture, networking, application development, cloud, and operating system concepts

• Strongly prefer CISSP

• Strongly prefer a technical/computer-related college degree

• Strongly prefer excellent data networking skills
