      About the Job

      Interviews will start at the beginning of August. The program will start on October 2, 2023 and will conclude on December 22, 2023 (12-weeks).

      Information Services Internship projects will include but are not limited to the following areas: Device Break/Fix, Device Implementation, Project Management, Security Account Administration, Information Security, Service Management, Business Operations, etc.


      1. Opportunities to gain corporate experience by being involved in information technology projects, staff meetings, and corporate events.
      2. Training on the appropriate tools, languages, and documentation required.
      3. Exposure to a number of advanced technologies, such as ERP systems, Epic, Office 365, ServiceNow, and networking in a multi-platform environment.
      4. The assignment is expected to last 12-weeks (depending on the student’s school schedule).
      5. Works under direct supervision of the IS Business Operations team in support of team initiatives.
      6. On-site and hybrid positions will be offered (depends on the assigned team).
      7. Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization.
      8. Demonstrates excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
      9. Effectively working with others.
      10. Maintain an identifiable/professional attire at all times, including using identification cards.
      11. Be able to effectively work in a virtual environment if selected for a hybrid position (80% remote, 20% onsite)
      12. The ability to demonstrate flexibility and interest in doing a variety of tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
      13. Understand and comply with all enterprise and IS departmental information security policies, procedures and standards.
      14. Support the integration of information security in the development, design, and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process, transmit, or store CHOP information.
      15. Support all compliance activities related to state, federal regulatory requirements, healthcare accreditation standards, and all other applicable regulations that govern the use and disclosure of patient, financial, or other confidential information.

      Depending on the project you are assigned to, you may work 100% on-site or hybrid (80% remote and 20% onsite).


      Education

      • High School Diploma / GED Required
      • Associate's Degree Preferred
      • Bachelor's Degree Preferred


      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

      • Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Able to work in an organized manner, work well with others, with attention to detail.
      • Must have initiative and good problem solving skills.


      To carry out its mission, it is of critical importance for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to keep our patients, families and workforce safe and healthy and to support the health of our global community. In keeping with this, CHOP has mandated all workforce members on site at any CHOP location for any portion of their time be vaccinated for COVID-19.
