      Job Summary

      The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) at the Purdue Applied Research (PARI) Institute will act as the Manager of Classified Cybersecurity Systems (CCS). This position will conduct assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments. The ISSM will establish strict program control processes to ensure the mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems, be knowledgeable of Controlled Unclassified Information System requirements, and assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e. DAAPM, JSIG, ICD-503). This may include project management.


      Additionally, the ISSM will:

      • Assist and be actively involved in all Audits to include those by DCSA
      • Ensure the team follows organizations policies and procedures
      • Support the formal Security Assessment process required by the company and/or government customer
      • Effectively communicate with program management and other teams
      • Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
      • Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.
      • Coordinate and prepare the Body of Evidence for Accreditation and Authorization activities
      • Support validation of Continuous Monitor activities and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.

      Required:

      • Master's degree with 7 years of Information Systems Security experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 9 years Information Systems Security experience
      • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level III security certification (examples: CISM, GSLC, CCISO, CISSP) Security +
      • Candidates must possess an active Secret security clearance to be considered for this position. Maintaining this clearance is a continuous condition of employment. Failure to retain the required clearance will result in termination.
      • US Citizenship is a requirement to be fully considered for this position.
