      We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team as an IT project manager in Salem. In this role, you will be a senior-level contributor responsible for leading strategic projects and initiatives that align with the agency's strategic goals. You will also, provide portfolio reporting, offer project guidance through portfolio management and occasionally assist managers with strategic planning. Apply today!

      A day in the life:

      • Managing multiple concurrent information technology projects from initiation through closure.

      • Developing detailed project schedules decomposed into sequenced critical path activities with predecessors/successors, resources and duration.

      • Authoring project management deliverables such as charter, scope, risk/issue logs, project management plan, etc.

      • Tracking and monitoring team member assigned tasks and progress.

      • Managing project’s risks and issues by executing mitigation response actions.

      • Ensuring project is following oversight and defined process and procedures.

      • Providing verbal and written project status reports to steering committees and leadership.

      • Perform contract management duties such as writing statement of work and reviewing invoices for accuracy.

      • Manage project scope, schedule or budget changes by obtaining approval using change management procedures.

      • Review team member and contractor resource deliverables to ensure a quality product is produced.

      • Work in an office environment with hybrid work options available.

      Minimum qualifications:

      Six (6) years of information systems experience managing projects at the advanced level for multiple medium to large-sized projects or systems.

      OR

      An associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field AND four (4) years of information systems experience managing projects at the advanced level for multiple medium to large-sized projects or systems.

      OR

      A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field AND two (2) years of information systems experience managing projects at the advanced level for multiple medium to large-sized projects or systems.

      OR

      Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

      What we’d like to see:

      • PMP certification preferred.

      • PROSCI or similar change management credential preferred.

      • Demonstrated experienced using Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodology.

      • Demonstrated experience leading complex IT projects resulting in new system implementation or functionality.

      • Skilled at gathering team input to break down project activities using project planning tools like Microsoft Project.

      • Demonstrated experience expressing ideas and concepts clearly through verbal and written communication. Proficient in using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio to show and share complex information.
