      Responsibilities

      • Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify programs functions according to valid user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines
      • Assist the Funds with the development of reusable, well-thought-out testing scripts and perform code review
      • Provide assessment and recommendations with testing environments, change management procedures, and testing tools
      • Review requirements, specifications, functions, performance, reliability, usability, testability, scalability, and security within the software
      • Analyze quality assurance metrics and track defects, defect counts, and test results
      • Utilize business requirements and test cases to build manual test cases
      • Utilize manual test cases to build automated test cases in automated testing tools
      • Understand and translate valid customer’s business requirements and needs into test cases with expected results
      • Participate in weekly meetings and maintain daily or as needed communication with users and systems programmers in order to compile comprehensive valid requirements and work through issues
      • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent years of experience required
      • Minimum four (4) years relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar position in the IT field required
      • Knowledge and hands on experience in testing web-based applications using testing tools such as SmartBear, Mercury, open source testing tools, and Rational Robot
      • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, QA Processes, test data management, and software development life cycle
      • CSTE ( Certificate Software Testing Engineer) certification a plu
      • Thorough understanding of the healthcare industry (health insurance, employee benefits, medical claims processing, or member eligibility) preferred
      • Strong technical analysis and problem solving skills a must
      • Ability to work well in a team environment, meet tight deadlines and handle several projects simultaneously
      • Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions
