      The NASA Strategy and Architecture Office within the Office of the Chief Information Officer is seeking an exceptional candidate to serve as an Enterprise Business Architect. You will be responsible for developing and communicating enterprise business architectures, aligning business processes and capabilities with NASA's strategic objectives, and driving organizational transformation to enhance efficiency and mission success.

      Duties


      • Serves as business domain enterprise architect providing creation, iteration, and maintenance of enterprise business architectures that embody principles, methods, and models to describe the organization's future state aligned to business outcomes.
      • Facilitates the identification and execution of priorities to achieve business outcomes.
      • Analyzes organizational drivers, requirements, and current state capabilities to develop enterprise reference architectures that inform strategic and operational roadmaps. Works with key stakeholders to gain approval and influence adoption.
      • Leads the identification, translation, and modeling of current and future state agency business processes to drive transformation, improve efficiencies, and support systems development efforts that achieve NASA's business goals.
      • Interprets business goals and drivers, translates business strategy into an operating model, assesses current capabilities, and identifies required changes in business processes and capabilities.
      • Utilizes state-of-the-art modeling tools and methodologies to create accurate and actionable business process maps that guide the agency's transformation initiatives.
      • Works collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure these process models are integrated into the enterprise architecture, enhancing decision-making and strategic planning across NASA.
      • Coordinates with Agency Chief Enterprise Architect and mission stakeholders to define, maintain, and publish the NASA Business Capability Model and the associated NASA Enterprise Architecture Framework.
      • Ensures alignment of business strategy roadmaps with enterprise transformation activities and overarching organizational strategies.
      • Works with Enterprise Architects, Agency Level Offices/Service Lines, Mission and Mission support teams to ensure business strategies and processes are consistent with the organization's overall goals and contribute effectively to NASA’s missions.

      Qualifications


      Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

      To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
      • Developing and communicating authoritative enterprise business architectures that address requirements and align with an organization's mission and strategic outcomes;
      • Developing business capability models and process roadmaps, identifying gaps, overlaps, dependencies, and risks, building long-term coherence for business operations, assessing and prioritizing competing budget requests;
      • Identifying, translating, and modeling both current and future state business processes to drive organizational transformation, enhance operational efficiencies, and support Agency level business systems development.
      AND

      IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
      1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
      3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
      4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
