Job Description

- Assist in planning and managing the integration of systems changes into existing systems and software.
- Liaise with, and provide support to, end users and staff on IMMI software, equipment and other issues, primarily during 8:00am – 5:00pm Help Desk support hours.
- Provide on-call technical support outside of normal business hours when needed.
- Work on assigned Help Desk tickets in a courteous manner.
- Record, track, and document the progress of Help Desk tickets from submission until final resolution.
- Complete regular system maintenance including software upgrades, server security audits and updates, system backups, Windows/Linux Server and Windows Client operating system updates and patches.
- Monitor and support essential technology communications platforms in Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Teams.
- Problem tracking with infrastructure support vendors.
- Create and maintain documentation of certain system, support procedures, and user manuals.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
- Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
- Assist in developing standards and processes to support and facilitate Information Technology projects and initiatives
- Assist in physical installation of systems and technologies at local and remote IMMI facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an IT-related field and 2-3 years of experience in systems administration
- One or more relevant technical certifications
- Technical problem solving/analysis
- Ability to multi-task
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Project management, with the ability to handle complex technical projects & deliverables
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems, Active Directory, and related software systems
- Moderate knowledge of Linux server operating systems
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery methodologies and related software systems
- Knowledge of data center operations and Cloud-hosted application platforms such as Microsoft 365, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and VMware vSphere.
- Demonstrated knowledge through certifications such as: VMware, Azure, AWS, CompTIA, etc.
- Knowledge of Mobile Device Management technologies and mobile computing platforms
