      AgFirst is seeking an Infrastructure Architect this position will require an ability to deal with abstract concepts, systems, and ideas and all of that in an organized and self-disciplined way. It also requires that serious consideration be given to all possibly related facts and potential problems. This job demands deep knowledge and expertise and to do it successfully depends on understanding detailed information. Intellectual confidence is important in this job and to do it well requires close, hands-on involvement, careful follow-up and very disciplined, and limited, delegation.


      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Provide architecture input on assigned AgFirst projects serving as subject matter expert and ensure established standards and guidelines are followed
      • Serve as 3rd level technical support on issues related to systems infrastructure and other issues requiring senior level support as escalated via support teams
      • Mentor junior and mid-level technicians by assisting in the training development and coaching on infrastructure related task and responsibilities
      • Document architecture standards and guidelines as they pertain to infrastructure systems and environment
      • Design, implementation and administration of core infrastructure systems

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field preferred
      • 8 to 10 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems environments performing system planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software) and optimization
      • Proficient in high level administration and architecture duties in three of the following areas: Microsoft infrastructure products (Server OS, Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS SQLetc), Server Virtualization (VMware ESX), Enterprise Storage, Backup and Recovery, IBM Mainframe, Application Delivery (Citrix XenApp, VMware Horizon)
      • Technical knowledge of client operating systems such as Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
      • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) / VMware Certified Professional (VCP) / IBM Certified Specialist / Citrix Certified Professional (CCP) preferred
