      Job Description:
      This job is responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include creating infrastructure tools and their integration as a service, facilitating deployment of technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include looking for opportunities to improve efficiency when implementing and maintaining tools/services and embracing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

      Position Summary:

      The right candidate will join our Dynatrace Engineering Team as an individual contributor and will be responsible for managing, expanding, upgrading, automating, and improving performance and sustainability for our huge Dynatrace environment as a hands-on engineer/architect. The candidate will drive implementation using Lean Agile methodology.

      Responsibilities:

      • Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assists Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
      • Assists with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
      • Assists in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
      • Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
      • Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption
      • Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
      • Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains

      Key responsibilities:

      • The candidate will be responsible for Dynatrace system architecture, data analytics, performance management, automation and some administration, for the Dynatrace deployments we manage across the enterprise. Good communication skills are needed to interact with technology and business groups, to gather requirements and deliver the solution.
      • Develop and maintain automation tools for CI/CD workflows using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other tools.
      • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle.
      • Design and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deployment.
      • Work with infrastructure teams to ensure automation tools are integrated with the appropriate infrastructure components.
      • Identify and address technical issues with automation tools and processes.
      • Develop and maintain documentation for automation tools and processes.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Ability to follow directions and work independently.
      • Knowledge and experience with Application, System and Synthetic monitoring tools and/or methodology
      • Hands-on shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration experience
      • Some expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python and/or Windows scripts
      • Strong debugging and analytical skills
      • Good communication skills and tenaciousness to drive vendors, system admins and others to deliver solutions together
      • Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative technology solutions.

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Engineering Background on any tool.
      • Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes and Public Cloud (such as AWS and Azure)
      • Experience with deployment utilizing CI/CD, Ansible and/or BladeLogic
      • Experience working in a secure, multi-data center environment
      • Experience with other monitoring tools
      • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline
