  Position Overview:

  ***This role has frequent travel in Northern California region with night and occasional weekend work. This is a work from home position, within the Sutter footprint.***
  
  Leads the development of enterprise technology, solutions, systems, storage, network and telecommunications engineering designs that are used as a basis for consolidating and standardizing infrastructure throughout Sutter Health and its affiliates. Interprets architecture requirements, design, product evaluations, selection, configuration, installation, testing and integration of new technology to better support the needs of Sutter Health and its affiliates. Provides in-depth cross-platform server systems, systems engineering, and integration leadership.

  Job Description:

  EDUCATION:

  Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's: Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent education/experience

  
  TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-year recent relevant experience

  • Experience installing or replacing Cisco and/or Aruba Wireless Access points and Wireless Controllers.

  • Experience performing software upgrades on Cisco and /or Aruba Wireless Access Points and Wireless Controllers

  • Experience trouble shooting Cisco and/or Aruba wired and wireless networks.

  • Experience with Cisco Router and Switch configurations required to implement new Wireless Access Points.

  • Understand protocols Radius, DHCP and DNS.

  
  SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.

  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, information services (IS) team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.

  • Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

  • Use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts and ideas.

  • Organize workflow to accomplish established objectives.

  • Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.

  • Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.

  • Work as part of a team or collaborate with colleagues from different departments to achieve a common goal or to gain better understanding of client needs.

  Department: Network specialty, Network infrastructure which may include converged internet protocol (IP) networks, wireless local area network (WLAN), wide area network (WAN)/metropolitan area network (MAN), local area network (LAN), virtual private network (VPN)/Firewall. Transmission control protocol (TCP)/IP and open systems interconnection (OSI) model. Routing protocol – enhanced interior gateway routing protocol (EiGRP), open shortest path first (OSPF), border gateway protocol (BGP)., point-to-point protocol (PPP), high-level data link control (HDLC), multi-link point-to-point protocol (MLPPP) and virtual local area network (VLAN)., gigabit Ethernet (Gig E), 10 gigabit Ethernet (10 Gig E).

  Pay Range is $59.82 to $89.73 / hour. Sacramento Valley Pay Range is $52.01 to $78.03 / hour.

  The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
